Giving employees EXTRA support during a cost-of-living crisis

In May 2022, we conducted research into the perception gap that exists between employers and employees regarding workplace benefits.

We surveyed over 2,500 people in the UK, with particular emphasis on the divide between Enterprise organisations and small-medium enterprises (SME). The results provide a comprehensive look at the workplace benefits offered today, as well as the need to better support employees as they navigate the cost-of-living crisis.

The data clearly shows that workplace benefits are no longer solely viewed as added bonuses. As the cost-of-living crisis mounts, employees are increasingly beginning to rely on them to stay afloat. As a result, workplace benefits have become key factors in ensuring employers are able to attract and retain talent.

However, the survey also found that employees often do not fully understand many of the workplace benefits they receive or how to use those they are offered. And with the Great Resignation still in full swing, this may spell danger for employers.
